Prayer Works
The Victory Prayer is an ever-present help in a time of trouble. It is an inspiration from God. It comes from His Word and His Word alone. It was something I researched for three years. It is an all-inclusive Christian Prayer, a daily devotion. It is a discipline in speaking the protection, benefits and rights you have that God well designed for you.
It is a decision to take God at His Word, as well as a tool to submit to His plans and not ours for our lives on a daily basis. It is also very divisive in backing the enemy behind you as Jesus already achieved for you the right to do.
It has become a part of my daily routine and one of the first things I do every morning-to say this prayer and pray for others as the Lord leads. Worry changes nothing but prayer can change everything. I choose to say it out loud to cover myself and my family-my dog as well and not leave anything to chance. I have seen this work in my life and in the lives and the circumstances of others.
Five reasons why a person cannot evoke the promises of God:
1. They are not a believer-the promises are for the believer except for one…Romans 10:13 says, “For who so ever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved”. This is one of my favorite scriptures. Everyone anytime can call upon the name of Jesus and be saved.
2. A believer who is living in sinful disobedience. 1 John 3:4 states “Those who live sinful lives are disobeying God. Sin is disobedience.” We all fall short, that is a given. Coming clean is good for you…good for your walk with God. One thing I also know is ‘obedience is better than sacrifice’. Now believers who sin DO make it to heaven…1 John 5:17 makes clear”. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.” However, there might be lack of ‘victory’ in life because Matthew 5:19 shows us “Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But, whoever practices and teaches theses commands will be called GREAT in the kingdom of heaven.”
3. Believers who do not have faith for the promises might not see them. For in 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us “We live by faith, not by sight.”
4. Self righteousness is a problem, we find evidence of that in 2 Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of Godliness but denying the power there of: from such turn away.” We walk in love and live the Christian born again experience by the power of the Holy Spirit.
5. Christians who are under the bondage of a curse will not see His promises, which is found in Galatians 3:13 “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. Cursed is anyone who hangs on a tree.” There are ‘walking wounded’ soldiers for the kingdom who need to profess freedom in Christ by the power of His Cross. Words do matter. We need to profess His Word and ask God to set us free from all forms of curses.
Here at The John Tatum Network we have found the daily discipline of saying The Victory Prayer will address each area and is a ‘covers all the bases’ Christian prayer. Living a life of favor and victory is the goal. Not that trouble won’t come…it will but having an answer in the trouble will happen as we allow the Word to work in our lives. We believe that every child of God has the right because of His love for us to have our lives in perfect balance with the sweet spot of the center of God’s will for our lives and He desires for us to evoke His promises from here to eternity.
God’s best,
